pastor | preston thompson
Preston Thompson has been the pastor of Redeemer Baptist Church since 2003. He was born and raised in Baton Rouge and came to know the Lord at 16 years old. He eagerly sought opportunities to serve the Lord by getting involved with his local church. Three summers later, he began his first vocational ministry position at Woodlawn Baptist. It was then that the Lord confirmed his calling as a pastor.
Preston graduated from LSU in 2001 and married the love of his life shortly after. He and his wife Natalie have three children – Daniel, Anna, and Nicholas – which keep them busy as well as humble.
Preston received his Masters of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2018.
In his free time, you can find Preston hunting, fishing, spending time with his family and watching the Tigers play.
